Egnyte iOS App v 9.10.1 - Ultra-Wide Camera Support

External Release Notes: iOS Mobile App v 9.10.1 (September 17, 2026)

New Features and Enhancements

Ultra-Wide Camera Support for In-App Photo and Video Capture

Users can now zoom out below 1x when using the Take photo or video option inside a folder, taking advantage of the ultra-wide lens available on supported devices. The camera opens at 1x by default, with the full zoom range, including the ultra-wide lens available on supported hardware.

Issues Addressed

Large Folder Loading Issue in iOS Files App and Third-Party Apps

Some users encountered a "Cannot load" error when browsing large Egnyte folders through the iOS Files app or third-party apps such as Microsoft Outlook. Folders containing a high number of items, typically several thousand files and subfolders or more would fail to display any contents, while smaller folders loaded correctly. This was caused by a memory constraint in the iOS File Provider extension, which could not handle folder listings beyond a certain size in a single response. Pagination support has been introduced for folder listing in the File Provider extension, enabling large folders to load successfully by fetching their contents in batches across multiple sequential requests.

This fix is currently released as Limited Availability and will be rolled out gradually to customer domains. To enable this earlier for an Egnyte domain, send a request to the Product team.

Shared Links Not Opening Correctly After Domain Switch

There were issues when opening shared links after switching to a different domain, either the link failed to navigate to the intended file or folder, or the file preview was broken. Both issues have been resolved, and shared links now correctly open and display the target content after a domain switch.

Missing File Size During Batch Upload

Users reported missing file size information for certain files on the upload screen when uploading large batches that included video files. The size field appeared empty during and after the upload. This has been resolved, and file sizes are now displayed correctly for all files in the upload list.

Issues When Opening Large Markdown Files

Loading issues occurred when attempting to open larger Markdown files. Markdown files now load correctly and if a file is too large to preview, a proper message is shown to the user.

Search Results Not Displayed After Returning to the App

Some users noticed that search results were not visible after returning to the app from the background. This has been resolved, and search results are now displayed correctly.
