Web UI - Miscellaneous Improvements

External Release Notes: Web UI (September 9, 2026)

Issues Addressed

Previewing PDF Files by Users With Viewer-Only Permissions

Certain PDF files could not be previewed by users with Viewer-only permissions in the Document Room Portal, while Admin users could preview the same files successfully. The issue affected older or existing PDFs as the newly uploaded PDFs could be previewed.

Overwriting of Previous Images on iOS Upload Links

When using an Upload Link through a mobile browser on iOS, capturing multiple photos with the Take Photo or Video option resulted in each newly captured photo overwriting the previously captured one. This resulted in only a single image being uploaded.

Accessing Custom Storage on Azure

There was an issue with custom Azure storage that prevented Egnyte from connecting to the underlying storage account. As a result, users were unable to upload files to Egnyte.

Project Settings - Issue in Pasting Project Details

Users were experiencing issues while copying and pasting project details on the Project Settings screen. The system did not retain the pasted information and reverted the project status to In Progress, requiring users to enter the information again. The issue was observed across different browsers, including Chrome and Edge.

Additionally, when users navigated to another screen or window to reference information, such as copying an address from another document, the Project Settings page could briefly refresh, blink, or close unexpectedly. When this occurred, any unsaved information already entered on the page was not retained.

In-Progress Tasks not Listed Under Tasks Assigned to Me Tab

When filtering tasks by In-Progress status in the Tasks Assigned to Me tab, the filter did not return any results even when tasks with an In-Progress status were available.

Fill and Sign Issues in Egnyte Sign

Using the Sign option directly on a PDF in the Egnyte PDF Editor did not initiate the Fill & Sign function. Additionally, signatures placed on the document could not be repositioned.
