New Features and Enhancements
Create Missing Users and Groups during Migration (Limited Availability)
Egnyte now provides the ability to create missing users and groups during permission migrations, ensuring that their permissions are preserved and applied correctly instead of being skipped. Users can download and review the list of missing users and groups found, fill in the required details, and proceed with the migration. This capability helps prevent permission gaps caused by users or groups that do not exist in the Egnyte domain, reducing manual effort and ensuring that permissions from the source system are retained accurately.
This feature is currently limited availability for all customers. To request this feature, contact the Products team.
Email Notification when Permissions Migration is Paused
Users now receive an email notification if the permissions migration is paused. This notification is sent only when the option to create accounts for missing users & groups is unchecked.

The current release contains a few improvements to the existing functionality.
- Users are now notified when a Power User tries to enable asynchronous copy
- Minor performance, security, and stability improvements
- Minor UI improvements
- Minor bug fixes
These changes will be available to all users by September 7, 2026.
