External Release Notes: iOS Mobile App v 9.10 (August 20, 2026)
New Features and Improvements
Remote App Diagnostics
Users can now share app diagnostic logs directly from the Egnyte iOS app settings. When troubleshooting an issue with support, users can trigger log sharing themselves without any manual workarounds, making it faster and easier to provide the information needed for resolution.
Markdown File Preview
Users can now open .md files directly in the Egnyte iOS app and view fully rendered content instead of raw Markdown source. The preview supports Markdown, including headings, bold and italic text, lists, task lists, tables, code blocks, blockquotes, and inline links. The view is read-only and uses the same previewer as all other file types, with standard error states handled for files that are too large, empty, or contain unsupported constructs.
Email File (.eml) Preview
Users can now preview .eml files directly in the Egnyte iOS app without downloading them or leaving the app. The preview displays the sender, recipients, subject, date, and message body in both plain text and HTML formats.
Issues Addressed
Video Files Uploaded as Images
Some users experienced .mov video files being stored as JPEG images after uploading through the Egnyte iOS app, instead of being retained as video files. This has been resolved and .mov files now upload and are stored correctly as videos.
