Entra SSO Login Error AADSTS50105

The AADSTS50105 error indicates that access to the Egnyte enterprise application is restricted to assigned users or groups in Microsoft Entra ID. If a user has not been assigned to the application, Entra ID blocks the sign-in request before it reaches Egnyte.

This article outlines the steps an Entra ID administrator can take to assign the user or group and resolve the issue.
 

Action Required

The Microsoft Entra ID Administrator needs to follow the below steps to help resolve the issue.

Option 1: Assign the User Directly

  1. In the Entra portal, open the SSO application.
  2. In the menu on the left, click Users and groups.

  3. Click the + Add user/group button.

  4. In the search box, search for the user and select them.
  5. Click Select at the bottom.
  6. Click Assign to confirm the choice.
     

Option 2: Assign Via a Group

Add the user email address to an Entra group that is already assigned to the Egnyte app.
