New Features and Enhancements
Access Custom Agents in Egnyte Using Public APIs
Egnyte is releasing public APIs enabling users to access custom agents within Egnyte from external applications.
The Agent APIs in this release include the following key capabilities:
- Retrieve a complete list of custom agents configured within the domain
- Ask a question to a specific agent
- Poll the status and retrieve the response from the previous agent execution
Refer to the API Documentation on the Egnyte Developer Portal for detailed information and implementation guidance.
Egnyte Agents is available for Platform Plans with Copilot Add-on and included in the New Generation Platform plans. Contact your account manager or Egnyte Sales team to get access to this feature.
Additional Information and Resources
The current release contains a few improvements to existing functionality.
- Minor performance, security, and stability improvements
- Minor UI improvements
- Minor bug fixes
These changes will be available to all users by November 20, 2025.
