Email Notification for Agent Token Expiry

When the Migration App agent token expires, an email notification is sent to inform users. However, to avoid spamming users with repeated messages, the system is designed to send the notification only once per UI session. This means once the notification is delivered, no further emails will be sent for the same expiration event unless the user refreshes the UI and the token expires again.

A migration agent token has a 60-day validity period. After this duration, if the token has not been refreshed or renewed, it is considered expired.

This setup prevents repeated emails for the same issue, so inboxes don’t get cluttered. Each notification is sent only when needed, making it easier to spot and act on real token expiration events.

The sample email notification is as included below.

To resolve this issue, a user (should be the same user as the one in the Migration App configuration) can take one of two actions. As a first step, they can log in to the Egnyte domain, navigate to the Migration Dashboard, select the mentioned agent, and refresh the jobs view. This will trigger a background process to fetch a fresh token.

If that doesn’t work, the final option is to go to the system where the migration agent is installed, stop the service, and restart it. This will initiate a new token retrieval.
