New Features and Improvements
End of Support for iOS 16
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible experience for our users, we will no longer support iOS 16 in the Egnyte iOS app. This means that users whose devices use iOS 16 will no longer receive app updates, new features, or bug fixes. To continue receiving updates and support, we recommend updating to the latest version of iOS available for your device.
Offline Folder Auto-update (Limited Availability)
A new auto-update option has been introduced for files and folders marked for offline access. When enabled and the device is online, updates from the cloud are automatically applied under any of the following conditions:
- When the application is launched
- When the app transitions from background to foreground
- When the folder marked for offline is opened or refreshed from the listing view
- When the Offline tab is opened
This update applies only to files located directly in the selected folder and does not extend to subfolders.
This feature is currently under limited availability. Please contact Egnyte support to get it enabled on the Egnyte domain.

How to upgrade
Visit the Apple AppStore to download the latest version of the Egnyte iOS Mobile App (v 8.39) or update the existing app to the newest version on all the devices. It may take up to seven days for the latest version to propagate to all user devices. However, users can manually upgrade their app immediately after the release.
