AI Prompts in Workflow Templates

Egnyte enables users to integrate AI prompts directly into workflow steps. While creating workflow templates, users can add AI prompt execution as part of an Automated Action step.

During the template setup, users can run and test these prompts in real-time, with the option to store the AI-generated output as a workflow step comment, a file comment, or as custom metadata.

These AI-powered workflow steps can be leveraged to automate tasks such as document review, summary generation, and custom metadata extraction.

Add AI Prompt in Workflow Templates Step

• Navigate to Settings -> Configuration -> Workflows.
  
• Navigate to Templates and click on Add template -> File Workflow Template.
  
• Create the template referring to the steps here. Select Automated Action as the step. Fill the details as Step name and Description.
  
•  Select Execute AI Prompt as an action to perform on this step. Provide the desired AI prompt.
  
  
  • The user can save the prompt result as a workflow step comment, file comment, or file metadata.
    
  • They can also choose the action that shall be taken if the step fails. 
    

Test AI Prompt Execution

• After providing the AI prompt, click on Test AI Prompt Execution.
  
  
• Click on Select File and select the file that can be used to test the AI prompt. Click on Continue after file selection. 
  
• Click on Execute to test the prompt. The user can also modify the prompt and select a different file for testing, if needed. Click on Apply after the desired modifications are done.
  
  
• The user can then continue to create and save the template.
