The entire set of analysis rules can be individually turned on/off on each of your sources. Thus, providing you complete flexibility on using the analysis rules that are most relevant to your situation. Analysis rules are managed in two different locations depending on the rule type. These locations are Content Sources and User Directory. 

Enabling Content Source Analysis Rules

You can enable analysis rules on your sources by using the steps below: 

  1. Navigate to the Settings → Content Sources page. Click on the source for which you want to enable the analysis rules.mceclip7.png

  2. In the rules applied for the analysis section, click on the drop-down to select the rules that should run on the source.mceclip1.png

  3. By default, all rules are selected to run on the source except for Individual Permissions.mceclip3.png

  4.  You can also selectively choose the rules that you want to be run on your source.mceclip4.png

  5. Each rule can also be configured to run on a select set of folders in the source. Click on the gear icon next to the rule to include/exclude folders from the rule’s analysis.mceclip6.png

  6. After selecting the folders, click on Save. It may take some time for the Issues tab to get updated to reflect these changes.

Enabling User Directory Analysis Rules

You can enable analysis rules on your user directory by using the steps below: 

  1. Navigate to the Settings → Content Sources page. Click on the user directory for which you want to enable the analysis rules.mceclip8.png
  2. In the rules applied for the analysis section, click on the drop-down to select the rules that should run on the user directory.mceclip9.png
  3. By default, all rules are selected to run on the user directory.mceclip10.png
  4. You can also selectively choose the rules that you want to be run on your user directory.mceclip11.png

Disabling Analysis Rules

You can disable analysis rules on your sources and user directory by using the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Settings → Content Sources page. Click on the source or user directory for which you want to enable the analysis rules.mceclip0.png

  2. In the rules applied for the analysis section, click on the drop-down to select the rules that should run on the source or user directory.mceclip1.png

  3. By default, all rules are selected to run on the source and user directory (except Individual Permissions). Click on Selected rules in specified folders option.mceclip3.png

  4. Now for each rule, click on the toggle switch to turn off the rules that you would like to disable on the source or user directory.mceclip5.png
