Egnyte provides a file conversion feature that lets users seamlessly convert files between Microsoft Office and PDF formats, enhancing workflow efficiency and accessibility. This feature enables easy sharing of documents in universally compatible PDF format and streamlines collaboration by allowing quick format changes. The users can also convert the PDF files to Microsoft Office format, such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.

Microsoft Office to PDF Conversion
To carry out file conversion from a Microsoft Office format to PDF
- Open the context menu on the file and select Convert to PDF.
- Enter the File name (default name will be source file) and Location (default location will be same as the source file) in which the file will be saved. Click on Convert.
The conversion process will begin and the user will get a UI notification.
PDF to Microsoft Office Conversion
To carry out file conversion from PDF to a Microsoft Office format
- Open the Context menu on the file.
- Select the desired format from the Convert to menu.
- Enter the File name (default name will be source file) and Location (default location will be same as the source file) in which the file will be saved. Click on Convert.
After clicking on Convert, the process will start and the user will get a notification.
Supported File Types And Limitations

Formats supported to convert a file from PDF format: .xlsx, .docx, .pptx
- Formats supported for PDF conversion: All Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel formats
- PDF file size limit: 25 MB
- Microsoft Word file size limit: 50 MB
- Microsoft Powerpoint file size limit: 50 MB
- Microsoft Excel file size limit: 5 MB
