Web UI - AI-Drive Metadata Tags - Trainable Classifiers

External Release Notes: WebUI (October 31, 2024)

New Features And Enhancements

AI-Driven Metadata Tags - Trainable Classifiers

Egnyte’s new AI-driven metadata tags enable seamless, automated organization of files and folders, ensuring that content is consistently tagged and easy to find. This feature intelligently classifies files based on user-defined criteria, applying tags across large data sets without the need for manual effort. As new content is added to folders, the system automatically applies the relevant tags, supporting efficient searching, sorting, and filtering of files or folders.

This new capability empowers Power Users and Admins to provide seed files for training the classifier. Once trained, the classifier can then apply a user-defined tag to all files that match within the folder(s) specified by the user.

By automating content tagging based on file type and context, users can save time, improve content discoverability, and maintain consistent organization across large datasets.

They can also see and edit all tags assigned to the file in the metadata section within file preview.
