To ensure that customers using the Egnyte iOS App have the best possible user experience and can access their data securely and efficiently, Egnyte normally supports the last two major versions of the iOS operating system as released by Apple.
However, during the period following Apple’s release of a new iOS version, Egnyte may support the newest version plus the previous two for a few months. This temporary extension ensures a smooth transition and provides continued support while users upgrade to the latest iOS version.
After the transition is completed, the standard policy of supporting the two most recent iOS versions is reinstated. By focusing on these versions, Egnyte can allocate resources more efficiently and deliver an enhanced experience for majority of the users.
If the operating system on a device is lower than those supported by Egnyte, the Egnyte App will remain functional but will no longer receive new updates or bug fixes. Users are encouraged to verify the installed version of the iOS operating system. If it is below the supported range, upgrading to a newer device is recommended.
