Deploying desktop app
The desktop app can be deployed to Windows using the following steps in Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center, which is part of the Azure portal:
- Select Apps from the left hand menu.
- Select All Apps from the next menu.
- Select Add.
- Select App Type -> Line of Business App.
- Click on Select app package File.
- Click on browse button and browse for Desktop App windows Install MSI.

Fill in app information:
Name: Any name but Prefix it with Desktop QA so IT know it is our testing
Description: Any description
Publisher: Egnyte
Ignore App Version: Yes
Command-line arguments (Optional)
To add a drive during install:
ED_DRIVE_DOMAIN="acme" ED_DRIVE_LABEL="acme" ED_DRIVE_SSO=1 ED_DRIVE_LETTER="Z"
Note double quotes are needed on string values
All other fields are optional -
Click on Next.

Scope Tags are optional, click on Next.

For assignments add the desired devices group (e.g. DA-IntunePriv-QA)

Click on Save.

Intune will need to be triggered on the assigned devices to run the install. Intune is normally only triggered after a restart of the machine. The installation may then take a few minutes.
Running post install scripts
- Select Devices from the left hand menu.
- Scroll down and select Scripts from the next menu.
- Select Add -> Windows 10 and later.
- Enter Appropriate name and description and click on Next.
- Browse for a script.
- Select the other Script settings.
- Run this script using logged on credentials: Yes
- Enforce script signature check: No
- Run script in 64 bit Powershell Host: Yes
- Scope Tags are optional, click on Next.
- For assignments add the desired devices group (e.g. DA-IntunePriv-QA)
- Click on Save.
- Intune will need to be triggered on the assigned devices to run the install. Intune is normally only triggered after a restart of the machine. The installation may then take a few minutes.
