New Features and Enhancements
Improvements to the Document Rooms Portal
Egnyte introduces a few enhancements to the Document Rooms Portal to improve the overall collaboration experience for users. Here is the list of updates:
- Updated Layout: The overview page features a clearer layout for better appeal and structure. Users will now see a prominent logo on the left and neatly organized details of the document room on the right.
- Easy Navigation: The overview page now has a Files button, making it easier for users to access and navigate to their content.
- Multi-Line Descriptions: The description section now allows users to write detailed descriptions across multiple lines for improved organization.
Issues Addressed
Obscure Error Message with Long Comments as Input in Share Link via Email
Users encountered an error message when they shared a link via the Share Link via Email option containing a long text input in the Message (optional) field.
Topmost Folder Selection Allowed for Document Creation
Admin users were able to select /Shared folder as the location to create new documents using the Create Document flow. However, an error message was displayed when they tried to create the document in this location
Link Password Generator not Generating 12-Character Password
The default link password generator was producing an 8-character password instead of the required 12 characters, prompting users to manually add an additional 4 characters each time.
