Issue Related to Agent Auto Upgrade
Some customers experienced upgrade time-out errors when the CMM-Agent was trying to upgrade from v3.36.0 to v3.37.0. In such cases, the agents were getting disconnected and marked inactive with the error “Update failed Error (#996). Update timed out. Please ensure the Agent is active and try again”
This was due to a background command used to identify Security IDs for all users/groups on the Windows Host VM. For most VMs, this worked as expected. However, for VMs with a high number of users/groups, these commands would timeout, which led to issues while starting the service.
We were able to document a workaround for all customers who experienced this issue, but this v3.37.1 patch addresses the underlying problem for the few VMs where this issue might occur.
This version will be available to all users by April 9, 2024.
