WebUI - Geolocation Search and Project Properties as Searchable Metadata

External Release Notes: WebUI (February 28, 2024)

New Features and Enhancements

Geolocation Search

Discover images taken in particular locations using Geolocation Search. This functionality harnesses EXIF data embedded within image files to precisely identify their geolocation, empowering you to efficiently search and organize your photo collection.

Geolocation Search is accessible to users that have AEC Specialized File Handler Add-On package activated.  You can learn more via Search for Files and Folders in the WebUI.

Project Properties as Searchable Metadata

This feature has been delayed and will be made available in a future release.

With Egnyte Project Folders, users can now define project attributes such as name, ID, and relevant dates through the 'Project Settings' dialog. Previously, these attributes were stored separately from Egnyte's metadata structure. They have now been incorporated into the metadata framework, enhancing functionality. Consequently, users can now conveniently search for projects based on these properties and include them as columns in their views.
