There may be a few reasons why your Storage Sync appliance would fail to connect to your AD environment. Please check the following:

  1. Use DHCP (Domain Host Configuration Protocol) within the Storage Sync appliance's Network Settings and save. Re-enter the AD parameters.
  2. Alternatively, you can use the fully qualified hostname in the network settings of the Storage Sync appliance. Instead of using the hostname only (e.g. egnyteelc), you can enter the fully qualified domain name (e.g. egnyteelc.mydomain.local).
  3. The Directory Service parameters may not be accurate. Please contact our Support Team for further assistance.
