Once the virtual machine (VM) has been deployed successfully, you need to add a 2nd virtual hard disk. This hard disk will act as the storage device for your Storage Sync appliance. The hard disk type must be SCSI, and the recommended size of the disk is the amount of data that will be stored on this Storage Sync appliance. This step is mandatory, and the Storage Sync appliance will not start without the 2nd hard disk. If you need help completing this process, please go to the Storage Sync Product Guide (VMware or Hyper-V) and check the Install Storage Sync VM section.
If you've added the 2nd hard disk, you may need to restart your Storage Sync appliance before you can access the settings page. Once you've restarted the device, navigate to http://<ip-address>:8806 and you will see the Storage Sync settings page. You can get the IP address for your Storage Sync by launching the VM console. Check out the Start Storage Sync section of the Product Guide for steps.
