Co-Edit using the Microsoft Office Online

Follow

The ability to collaborate with co-workers is the main driver of innovation, creativity, and productivity in today’s business environment. With Egnyte’s Office Online Integration, you can easily collaborate with the co-authoring capabilities of Microsoft Office applications, which allow multiple users to work concurrently on the same document.

To get started, make sure you have the Egnyte for Microsoft Office Online app added to your Egnyte account. Then, after selecting the Office document, click the option to edit it in Office Online.

The document will then open in the appropriate Office Online app (in our example below - Word Online). When additional users open the same document, they will be able to edit and collaborate in real-time. Even if a file is locked, other users who open it in Office Online will simply join the same active co-authoring session.
