Managing Folder Activity Stream Visibility within Collaborate

In Egnyte, users can get visibility of activities within a specific folder in the Activity Pane when they navigate to that folder in WebUI

The feature allows end-users to easily track and monitor any changes within a folder. They don't have to search through individual files to stay informed about recent updates, keeping everyone aligned on the latest activities in a specific folder.

View activities In A folder

  1. Navigate to the specific folder.
  2. Click on the Activities icon. The recent activities in the folders are displayed.

  3. The user can navigate to the specific file or sub-folder from the activity listed.

Disabling the activity pane

Organizations may need to restrict visibility into the audit trail within specific folders for certain user types to meet their security policies.

Egnyte allows administrators to control Activity Pane visibility for Power Users and Standard Users:

  • By default, the Activity Pane is visible to both Power Users and Standard Users.
  • Administrators always have access to the Activity Pane.

The ability to manage folder activity stream visibility is available for customers on selected plans – All Platform Plans (except for Team and Business), Life Sciences, GxP and Document Room Plans.
