Egnyte is legally required to collect sales tax for some customers based on their local jurisdiction and the product type being purchased. Egnyte will use the billing address associated with each account to determine the applicable sales tax.
Note that the sales tax is calculated based on several variables, including product type purchased, billing address, applicable tax jurisdiction, and local tax laws.
Starting on October 1st, 2015, Egnyte will begin charging sales tax on all subscriptions, where applicable; this will be displayed as a separate line item on invoices. You can view your invoices from the Plan Details section of your account.
Egnyte will only be collecting sales tax for invoices generated after October 1st, 2015. All invoices from prior periods will not be affected regardless of the payment terms or billing frequency of your account.
If you have any questions or are exempt from sales/use tax, you can email salestax@egnyte.com. Please include your appropriate exempt-sales certification if you are requesting a tax exemption.
