Smart Cache Authentication FAQ

Can I Use Single Sign-On Authentication or Active Directory if I am Using Smart Cache?

Yes. Smart Cache acts as a proxy for authentication requests from Desktop Apps and redirects them to the cloud for authentication. Smart Cache supports all single sign-on (SSO) authentication mechanisms.

If Active Directory Authentication is enabled in WebUI with an LDAP URL, users can be authenticated against Active Directory.

The Admin Credentials for the Smart Cache Device are Listed on the Console in Plain Text, is this a Security Risk?

The administrator credentials are locked and are only available for a specific set of tasks. Any outside access through SSH or other means are blocked and do not pose any security threats.
