Redesign of the Egnyte UI

In our commitment to delivering a best-in-class user experience to our customers, Egnyte has embarked on an ambitious and comprehensive overhaul of the entire UI. This is a multi-phased initiative, where we’ll first freshen up and modernize the visual layer and make it consistent across the platform before rapidly moving on to introducing new page layouts and navigation for improved efficiencies.

What Can Users Expect to See and When

The first changes started showing up in the Collaborate Web UI in April 2022. These changes will be rolled out continually - roughly every 2-4 weeks. During this phase, users can expect to see a few occasional discrepancies in the UI – like uneven fonts, inconsistent colors, and misaligned UI elements - as we systematically work through redesigning each component that makes up the UI. We will do our best to keep such issues to the minimum as we fine-tune the user experience. We are requesting patience from our users as we go through this exercise. Also, custom Branding settings will not be affected by the redesign.

Impact on Life Sciences Applications

The GxP Portal and other Life Sciences applications (Quality and eTMF) are also included in the redesign. However, their information architecture and user flows won’t be touched, and all changes will be only at the visual layer level. Our Life Sciences users will enjoy the new, beautiful, and modern design, with no re-learning required!

Preview of the Upcoming Design Changes

We are following an evolutionary rather than revolutionary approach in the redesign – let’s modernize but not rock the boat! We want to keep the new design familiar to our users so that there is barely any re-learning required.
