In May 2021, Egnyte will be replacing the Tasks capability with the newer Review and Approval Workflows. Existing tasks will be converted to workflows and will not be lost.

Existing tasks will be converted to workflows. Tasks will be converted to workflows with a single "to do" step and a single assignee.
What happens to my tasks that don't have a due date?
Tasks without a due date will be converted to workflows with the maximum allowed due date, 90 days.
What happens to my tasks that have a due date that is more than 90 days in the future?
Tasks with a due that is more than 90 days in the future will be converted to workflows with the maximum allowed due date, 90 days.
What happens to my tasks that were overdue but not complete?
In progress tasks with a due date in the past will be migrated with a due date set to the date of the task migration.
Can I choose to keep using tasks instead of switching to workflow?
Egnyte will be dropping support for tasks soon, so you cannot choose to stay on tasks indeterminately. If you need time to prepare for the transition to workflow, please contact your Customer Success Manager or the Egnyte Support team.
