We’ve made some exciting changes based on your feedback and can’t wait for you to check them out.

  • Upload preview: This feature is an improvement of the current upload preview (screenshots below). The difference is in the design and options (user can rename a file or delete it). The user is also able to quickly change the destination folder for the uploaded file ("Choose different folder"). In this release, the upload previewer will only be available for Photo Upload (photo/video taking via Egnyte App). In the next releases, this feature will replace all upload processes in our Egnyte App. We will also add a change in the view (list view, grid view).

  • Geolocation for taking photos: While taking photos via the Egnyte App, you can now save the geolocation where the photo has been taken (the geocoordinates will be saved in the Exif data of the file). To turn the feature on, go to the app settings and turn it on - please keep in mind that your phone settings need to allow geolocation.

  • Improved upload button: we improved the design of the upload button from photos app. From now on the usage of this will be more convenient (especially for devices like iPad, iPhone X/Xs/Xr/11/11Pro)

  • More Exif data on uploaded photos: from now on we import all the data a photo has in its Exif information (photo properties, geolocation)

  • We have also fixed several bugs you may have encountered:
    • Keyboard hiding search results - in some cases the keyboard still covered search results.
    • Saving PDF changes - on some PDFs the changes done via the Egnyte App have not been saved.
    • Folder renaming - in some cases the rename function was not available for the users.

  • Other Bug fixes: We continuously monitor our apps for bugs. This release solves general bugs and performance issues that some of you may have encountered. We will start the rollout of the iOS app next week. By the end of this week, it should be available for all users.
