We’ve made some improvements based on your feedback and can’t wait for you to check them out!

  • New way to take photos: In this release, we're happy to introduce you to some new ways of taking pictures and videos through the Egnyte app.

    • Offline upload: If you're not connected to the internet while taking pictures, the app will automatically upload the pictures when the connection is re-established.

    • Immediate upload: Instead of previewing each picture before they're uploaded to the selected folder, you can now have them immediately upload - the fastest way to add pictures to Egnyte.

    • Review upload: If you need to review and rename the pictures or videos before you start to upload, you can select this option when taking pictures.

  • New widget for iOS: The widget will provide quick access to the following actions: scanning documents, taking photos/shooting videos, and creating .txt files.

We continuously monitor our apps for bugs. This release solves issues some of you may have encountered:

  • Mentioning users in comments: Some users may have experienced an app crash after mentioning another user in the comments.

  • Missing MetaData for uploaded pictures: We resolved an issue where files uploaded via the app were missing some metadata.

  • Previewing of video thumbnails: Some uses may have experienced an app crash while previewing thumbnails during file upload.

  • iMessage working incorrectly with Egnyte app: For iPhone X, Xr, Xs and Xs Max the iMessage extension was showing additional options which were not available.
