Importing and managing users and groups
Manage users and groups from the User and Group Management section in Egnyte's settings. When adding users from your Google Apps domain, ensure that they are added as SSO users with their Google Apps email addresses. Users from your Google Apps domain should be added as Power Users or Administrators. You may also add users outside your Google Apps domain as SSO users if their email is linked to a Google account (eg. a gmail.com address). To add multiple users at once you may use the Import Users feature. If your organization uses AD/LDAP to store user and group information you may use Egnyte's AD Extraction Kit to synchronize user and group information. You may also add users from your Google Apps domain by searching their name or email and assigning permissions in the folder permissions window.
Assign permissions to any folder by selecting the Folder Permissions option under the Share menu. You may add users from your Google Apps domain to Egnyte by assigning them permissions to any folder. This can easily be done by searching for their name or email address in the Folder Permissions menu. Folder permissions will extend to Google Docs in the folder so users never have to worry about sharing with the right people.
Configure settings for your Egnyte domain by selecting the gear icon on the top right of the web interface. As a first step, ensure that you have explored the different options you have to increase the amount of Google Drive storage that is available to Egnyte.
