Current State of Egnyte for macOS Sonoma

macOS Sonoma was released to all Mac users on September 26, 2023. We have tested both Desktop App for Mac and Desktop App Core for Mac on the released version and discovered the following issues:

Desktop App Core for Mac

  • Some minor visual issues (duplicate buttons, misaligned text) might still be observed

Previously discovered and fixed issues (fixed in DA Core version 0.9.2)

  • Intermittently co-edit session is not initiated when opening Office files
  • Co-Edit preferences are not saved
  • Using search crashes the app
  • Temporary files created by some applications (like Office) are displayed as "Skipped" items

Desktop App for Mac

  • Some minor visual issues (duplicate buttons, misaligned text) might be observed

Previously discovered and fixed issues (fixed in Desktop App for Mac version 3.14.15)

  • Intermittently co-edit session is not initiated when opening Office files
  • Co-Edit preferences are not saved
  • Using search crashes the app

With major issues fixed, it is safe to use both Desktop App for Mac and Desktop App Core with macOS Sonoma.

Make sure that you are using the newest version of Desktop App for Mac or Desktop App Core for Mac as listed on the installers page.
