Customize Columns in Search Views
This release introduces the ability to show/hide specific columns in search results. After running a search, users can click on the ‘Edit View’ button and choose the columns to display/hide from the dropdown list.
The checkmarks (or the absence of a checkmark) next to the column names indicate whether the column will be displayed. Clicking on the item name toggles the checkmark on or off. A user can click on ‘Reset to Default’ to revert back to the system default view.
If a user saves a search query while a customized view is displayed, the results for that query will be displayed with the customized view whenever that saved query is executed in the future. See this article for details on saved search queries.
Changing Row Size in Search Results
In addition to customizing the columns, the users can also change the row height in search results. By default, a two line display is shown. However, the users can choose ‘Large’ in the ‘Edit View’ dropdown menu to display more than two lines of data if needed.
Help Center, University and Product Updates – Unified In-App Experience
With this release, we are pleased to enable a unified in-app experience for help center, university, and product updates within the Web UI.
You can access these areas by clicking the corresponding menu button in the top header bar as shown in the screenshot below.
Clicking on one of these menu buttons will open the corresponding experience in a slide out panel as shown in the screenshots below.
You can browse through the topics or search for specific ones from within the panel. You can even open them in a separate browser tab if you wish to view them in a larger window.
